Wronkled's Official Assistant Answers Your Questions!Q: Dear Reflectorboy - I'll be assisting a photographer this weekend on a nude shoot. What's the best angle to hold the reflector to get the best view of the model?
-- Angling in Anaheim
A: Dear Orange County - excellent question! Your photographer is going to want the light to focus on the model's best parts. This is to your advantage, as you will need to crouch low and really stare at the model the whole time to ensure that you're getting the light in the right place. Because of this, there really is no "best angle," as they're all good! Get that light in there where the photographer can really use it and just be sure that your view isn't blocked by the reflector itself.
Q: Dear Reflectorboy - When offering to rub the lotion on the model before the shoot, should I already have it with me, or will she be bringing it?
-- Smooth and Creamy in Cleveland
A: Dear Anne - if you don't already have the lotion, she'll be on to you. Nothing screams desperate like an assistant offering to rub lotion on a model with no lotion in hand! If you want to look professional, be professional and make sure you already have the lotion warmed up and ready to go.
